Samsung Electronics announced new cooling solution during the Samsung #SAC2016 Conference which was held at Solaire Hotel and Casino.
Samsung 360 Cassette air conditioning
Samsung latest ceiling Air conditioning solution, the new 360 Cassette air conditioning unit with an omnidirectional airflow discharge, which eradicates cold air draft and increases cooling speed for a premium cooling experience. The groundbreaking bladeless circular design allows for even cooling with minimal loss in air flow, setting a new standard for multi-directional Cassette units.
Innovative design transforms air flow
Samsung’s circular air wave consistently controls the temperature of the room by providing an even distribution of air in a full 360 direction. Bladeless flow control ensures fast and comfortable cooling without the cold draft by ensuring 100 percent of air volume compared to traditional four- way Cassette units, which can lose up to 25 percent of air volume. The resulting cooling speed is increased by 34 percent.
Unique stylish design
The 360 Cassette combines revolutionary performance with an elegant design which will blend in and enhance any setting. The unit features a stylish panel and intuitive display that allows users to change the air flow depending on preference. Users can choose from three settings including horizontal, vertical, and separate zone control air flow.
Easy to install without the need for an electrician, the air conditioner can also be fitted within the ceiling or exposed, offering ultimate flexibility to suit the style of any room.
DVM S Eco 14HP, a new side discharge VRF air conditioner
The improved performance of the Samsung DVM S Eco 14HP ensures it meets the growing needs for a specialized single outdoor unit to reduce the cost of previous multiple loading and sub-duct installation in multi-room buildings.
The innovative design of the DVM S Eco 14HP features a robust Inverter Scroll Compressor and corrugate fin, which increases air flow by 10 percent compared to standard side discharge VRF units.
Single solution for multi-room buildings
The increased horse power of the DVM S Eco (maximum 14HP) means that only one single outdoor unit is needed to manage the air conditioning for an apartment or office building, in place of multiple costly units. All areas of the building are covered as the new unit also provides an extended piping length of up to 160 meters and an installation height of up to 50 meters. The width of the new DVM S Eco 14HP is less than one meter (940mm), maximizing capacity with a better use of space, while the four-way piping enables convenient installation.
Greater energy efficiency
The design of the Inverter Scroll Compressor in the DVM S Eco 14HP has improved displacement and velocity due to its asymmetric design that reduces friction loss. The use of robust materials means the unit is reliable at a high speed operation, and ensures optimal oil supply and control. These key factors also contribute to the device’s efficiency.
Operating Temperature Range
The unit also has the advantage of new Flash Injection Technology, which increases refrigerant flow by 32 percent under cold ambient temperature. In addition, cooling range of the unit is widened to 52°C.
DVM S 30HP, which combines the DVM S with cutting-edge innovation
The new Samsung DVM S 30HP features a number of revolutionary features to boost performance, including a new Super Inverter Scroll Compressor with flash injection technology and an optimized bypass valve location to increase heating capacity by 29 percent.
The further addition of a hybrid heat exchanger increases the heat exchange area while an optimized refrigerant control delivers greater efficiency (10 percent) and a new oval-shaped diffuser application improves the airflow path and increases the airflow rate by 17 percent.
Increased high-performance capacity
The 80cc compressor in the DVM S 30HP delivers a 14.3 percent increase in displacement compared to conventional models, while the adoption of an asymmetric algebraic scroll allows for a thicker profile in the center and provides greater suction area.
The Samsung DVM S 30HP delivers up to 120HP with a combined four modular system, an increase of 50percent in HP compared to conventional models with smaller modular systems. The single 30HP unit measures less than 1m² and weighs 360kg, significantly reducing installation space.
The Samsung DVM S 30HP is engineered to deliver optimized refrigerant control, enabling a 2.5 percent increase in performance and a 4 percent increase in efficiency through the adoption of a reservoir and control of the refrigerant by the use of individual electronic expansion valve (EEVs).
The new oval-shaped design of the diffuser application in the Samsung DVM S 30HP increases airflow rate by 5 percent while reducing noise levels by 3dBA. It has also improved the air flow path by 17 percent, from 290 to 340 CMM (m³ per min of airflow).
The Samsung DVM S 30HP also complies with strict regulation thanks to an innovative leak detection system. When a leak is detected, the system automatically begins an active pump down process to collect the refrigerant and close all valves to isolate it within the unit.
DVM Chiller, which unites the strengths of air-source chiller and VRF systems
In the revolutionary DVM Chiller, Samsung has embedded the world-class BLDC Inverter Scroll Compressor with Flash Injection technology, ensuring heating capacity at -20°C ambient temperature with greater energy efficiency. The Chiller enables users to reduce annual utility costs by 36 percent to 50 percent compared to conventional chillers.
Unrivalled operational economy
The Samsung Module Chiller enables users to reduce annual utility costs by 36 to 50 percent compared to conventional chillers. Up to eight modules can be combined, offering an expansion of system capacity, while the operational modes can be adjusted to allow for seasonal requirements, such as low or peak season.
Easy installation and maintenance
The Samsung DVM Chiller is more compact than any other module chillers, requiring an installation area of just 1.37m² per unit, maximizing the capacity of the available rooftop space. It delivers the low maintenance installation of a VRF unit through its modular design, allowing for a reduction in installation and transportation costs.
