Bacolod City Travel-Hotel Choices

My Job requires me to travel within Philippine major cities where most of our clients are, I’ve been to a lot of provinces and one of my favorite places to visit is Bacolod City. So now let me share some the best place where to stay and how to get around Bacolod City.

Sculpture_of_Man_and_Water_Buffalo_Capitol_Lagoon_Bacolod_City_PhilippinesI recently went back to Bacolod, and for the 4 days and 3 nights I stayed on 3 different hotel in the city. And I want to share my experience.

The travel time to Bacolod City is around 1hour, but since there are other passengers to drop by to their other destinations it to me more then 1hour to reach my first hotel which is Luxur Place.

On my first day I stayed at Luxur Place  its a three-star Bacolod hotel situated along Magsaysay Avenue.

The room have old fashioned air-condition that is big and a bit noisy, but it does the job well that it can cool the whole room in just a matter of minutes. WiFi is available for FREE at the lobby.

Room Rates start at P1500.00

My second night at Bacolod City I stayed at the Sugarland Hotel, located at Araneta Street, Singcang, Bacolod City. I love the lobby of the hotel, their interior design is really inviting.

The rooms are so elegant and comforting so you can really relax and get a good sleep if you want to.

They offer free breakfast at the pool area, if would have been great if there we’re some swimmers in the morning so that everyone who’s having breakfast can see it (joke).

The front office staff are all nice and very accommodating not to mention they are all girls, The check-in was a smooth process. The Twist restaurant offers a variety great cuisine. One of my favorite is their batchoy and boneless bangus, you might want to try their death by chocolate for dessert.

Did I say that they have free WiFi at the lobby and at the room for FREE.

For my last night in Bacolod I stayed at Palmas Del Mar which is located at J.R. Torres Avenue, it’s a private resort with a hotel.

They have Beautiful Mediterranean concept at affordable and reasonable rates. The rooms are great with very comfortable beds, they have a swimming pool exclusive for guest and they even have a Jacuzzi that I was able to use that night and it was really great.

Rates Start at P1,900.00

Bacolod is really a special place for me, not only the local folks are always on smile to greet their visitors its but the food and sights are really a sight for sore eyes.

  1. Hey! By the look of the hotel, plus its amenities the P1400-1900 rate ain’t bad for a night’s stay! Should I visit Bacolod, I will make sure to choose from these three hotel options. Thanks for the tip! =) Lovely photos by the way. []

  2. Ang ganda naman ng mga hotels na yan. Yun nga lang medyo pricey pero kung titignan mo sa mga facilities nilla parang sulit naman. Hope I get the chance to visit Bacolod soon, at sana makapunta rin ako sa MASSKARA festival ngayong taon.
